Actor ⭐ | Theatre performer 🎭 | Voice Artist🎙️ | Playwright✍️
I’m Vivek Chendhurpandi, an actor, theatre performer, playwright and voice artist from Chennai, devoted to the transformative power of performance. Acting, for me, is a lifelong pursuit of truth, emotion and human connection whether I am on stage, in front of the camera or behind the mic.
My training at the National School of Drama in New Delhi, DeVriksha School of Acting and Chennai Theatre Academy has grounded me in rigorous technique and discipline. I work with approaches drawn from the Meisner technique, Stanislavski’s system and Lee Strasberg’s method, using attentive listening, inner life and truthful behaviour to build characters from the inside out.
On stage, I have portrayed complex, layered characters in productions such as Ooryasiyin Sabam, Prahaladha Charithiram and Indrajith’s Head, each one deepening my connection to storytelling and ensemble work. Alongside this, my experience in the voice industry spans narration, character voices, commercial spots and dubbing, where I focus on rhythm, tone and emotional nuance to bring scripts to life.
As a writer and playwright, I am drawn to stories that explore vulnerability, identity and social dynamics. I write with an actor’s ear always listening for the emotional heartbeat of a scene and the moments where characters reveal who they truly are.
I am currently expanding my practice through platforms like YouTube and Instagram, sharing work, experiments and reflections on the craft while building a community of collaborators. My goal is simple: to keep growing as an artist and create performances that stay with audiences long after the curtain falls.
